WNC Bridge Foundation Provides Urgently Needed Funds to
Support Essential Services
The COVID-19 pandemic has shone an unexpected, yet unsurprising, spotlight on the amazing actions so many are taking to care for our neighbors, friends, and family. WNC Bridge Foundation remains committed to our mission to be a catalyst for positive change in Western North Carolina. We are taking the following actions, during these unexpected times:
Community Outreach Grants
During this time, we are focusing our Community Outreach grants to support emerging needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including food for families, essential supplies for infants and toddlers, telehealth and mental health services, access to transportation, and family crisis and shelter services.
As of April 23,2020, WNC Bridge Foundation has directly awarded 64 organizations over $215,000 in COVID-19 relief funding. To apply for a Community Outreach Grant, click here.
WNC Greatest Needs Fund
Gifts to our WNC Greatest Needs Fund will provide emergency equipment and support to individuals, and Community Outreach Grants to organizations providing essential services that would be threatened if funding is not received. Administrative fees are waived so that 100% of every dollar will go directly to addressing the pandemic crisis.
We are deeply grateful for our community of friends, donors, and partners during this time. Click here to donate now.
Emergency Disaster Relief Fund
In addition to our own Community Outreach Grants, WNC Bridge Foundation also donated $125,000 to the Emergency Disaster Fund. Through this fund, WNC Bridge Foundation, regional funding partners, businesses and individuals are joining together to quickly provide effective and flexible resources for immediate and urgent needs. Through April 24, 2020, the Fund has distributed $951,900. Click here to learn more.
