Supporting Mental Health

Earlier this month, Black Mountain Counseling Center hosted a Lunch and Learn focusing on Stress Management with Black Mountain Town employees. During the session, town employees learned about different types of stress and ways to manage it at work and in everyday living.

WNC Bridge Foundation awarded Black Mountain Counseling center an IMPACT Grant to provide community engagement opportunities to local community workers, knowing they have direct contact with the public due to their employment or volunteer work. Black Mountain Counseling Center is offering these sessions with the hopes of providing tools allowing community workers to manage better their own mental health and that of the public. ” It is wonderful to partner with the Town of Black Mountain, encouraging wellness among town employees and the direct and continuing impact it will have for the overall health of our community,” shares Ellen Begley, Executive Director, Black Mountain Counseling Center.
