Congratulations to Rathbun House on becoming a certified hospitality house through Healthcare Hospitality Network (HHN). HHN is a nationwide professional member association with a mission to support homes that help and heal to be more effective in their service to patients and families.

Rathbun House Manager Whitney Wiggins completed the required 42 continuing education units in seven core categories: Emergency management, facility management, guest relations, human resources, internal improvements, non-profit management, and operations management. Whitney notes, “Completing the continuing education classes keeps me current on best practices while strengthening Rathbun House’s professional credibility. In addition, becoming certified provides opportunities for Rathbun House staff and volunteers to tackle new challenges and sharpen skill sets.”

WNC Bridge Foundation supports the annual operations and upkeep of the not-for-profit Rathbun House, the only hospitality house in WNC. Financial gifts Rathbun House receives from the generosity of its donors are also crucial to assisting in the ongoing support of this community treasure.
