Volunteer Superstars!

Volunteers are essential to WNC Bridge’s Rathbun House and Retail Operations. In honor of April being National Volunteer Month, we want to thank all our volunteers and give a special shout-out to Chris Pape and Bonnie Luria!

Volunteer Bonnie Luria occasionally shopped at what was then known as our hospice thrift store and one day called about volunteer opportunities. As a result, she has volunteered an average of eighteen to twenty-five hours a week for the last six years! Thank you, Bonnie!

Volunteer Chris Pape moved to Asheville in late 2015. Chris was made aware of WNC Bridge Foundation and our mission, thanks to being a dedicated WNC Bridge Thrift Store shopper. Feeling compelled to volunteer, she stopped by the thrift store, filled out an application, and has been volunteering ever since. Chris also volunteers at the Rathbun House, helping manage the house’s donations of food and pantry items. We appreciate you, Chris!

“I love the dedication of WNC Bridge’s volunteers and the feeling I am making a difference. The Community Initiatives we support provide crucial resources in our communities, and it’s a pleasure to support them.” ~Chris Pape
