Donna (name changed to protect privacy) of Henderson County is the devoted grandmother and sole caregiver of her three adopted grandchildren, two of whom have special needs. Donna recently left her job of 20 years due to poor working conditions and the growing challenge of raising young children ages 5, 5, and 3 on her own. With limited income, she couldn’t afford repairs to her truck.

Mitzi from Caja Solidaria, who has delivered food to the family for over a year, saw Donna’s dedication and reached out for help.

Thanks to WNC Bridge Foundation’s Greatest Needs donors, Donna’s truck was repaired, restoring reliable transportation for school, medical visits, and daily activities. More than a vehicle fix, this support brought peace of mind, and the stability Donna needs to move forward and keep her family safe.
