Helene Recovery: Community Initiatives Repairs Damaged Roof

An Asheville resident and retired widow who dedicated 38 years to serving her community was left with unsafe living conditions following the damage from Hurricane Helene. Thanks to the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund, WNC Bridge Foundation was able to cover the cost of essential roof repairs, restoring safety and habitability to Alice’s home (name changed to protect privacy).

As of February 20, 2025, WNC Bridge has assisted 256 individuals affected by the storm, distributing $128,496 in funding through our Community Initiatives Hurricane Helene Relief program.
