From Background Noise to Front Row Focus
Katelyn, a middle school student from McDowell County, has worn hearing aids since she was two. She faced challenges working independently due to distracting background noise and often needed teacher support for all activities. Thanks to Children’s Services, WNC Bridge Foundation provided her with a personal FM system called the Roger X. This compact receiver works with all hearing instruments and cochlear implants.
With the Roger device, Katelyn now enjoys direct auditory access to her lessons, and it also connects to her computer, allowing her to work independently. With Roger X, Katelyn’s classroom experience has been transformed, allowing her to engage more confidently and independently in her education.
