Big Hearts, Big Impact: NOW Grant Awarded to Clay County Hearts for Kids and Seniors

Since its founding in 2006, Clay County Hearts for Kids and Seniors has served as a vital lifeline for the community’s most vulnerable members. Originally established in response to the sharp increase in foster care placements due to the methamphetamine crisis, the organization quickly recognized critical funding gaps for the essential needs of foster children. Over time, its mission broadened to encompass at-risk youth, seniors, and disabled adults, offering vital support where government resources fall short.

A NOW Grant from WNC Bridge Foundation will empower the organization to address a wide range of needs—from covering sports registration fees and school-related costs for children to providing medical supplies and emergency aid for seniors and disabled adults.

Clay County Hearts for Kids and Seniors will use NOW Grant funds to cover children's sports registration fees, school expenses, and other essentials that help children thrive while also providing critical medical supplies and emergency aid for seniors and disabled adults.
